I dont claim to be psychic in any way, however, I am VERY "aware" of energy left behind after a trauma, and very often, I can get a scence of what negitive acts took place. The first time I saw the boarded up, abandoned mental health inpatient clinic in Nevada city Ca., I wasn't sure at first what kind of building I was pulling up too. It was just this encredible old building II had to stop and get some pictures of. But the moment I got out of the car, I got a chill that ran up my legs, and a sudden feeling of hopelessness. I turned to my ex husband and said "100 bucks says this place was a sanatarium". A few moments later, that theory was confirmed. Around the other side of the building was an old sign. As I walked around the grounds, tears came to my eyes, and I felt cold. I knew, I just knew, someone had been hurt there. The people in town either denied knowing about the building, or acted offened when I asked about it. I found out later that a man from that facility had been released, and several days later, killed several people at a near by restaurant before returning to the facility and shooting it up. Its been over a year since my first visit, but I still dream about it. Dream that Im in a room with a girl called "Anna". Names of the injured in the hospital were not released, but something came back with me. It's scared and sad. If anyone has any info on this place, or a simalar experiance, please, let me know. __________________ R.S.Callahan |

You don't have to be 'psychic' to experience things that you described. There are all kinds of abilities that sort of overlap, so it's better to call yourself a sensitive. That's what I'd call you. As far as more info, I searched and found nothing. Fascinating story, though. |

Reply with quote | #3 | I was just there today with some friends. Before, I had only explored the outside. This time, we went and explored the entire inside. When I was there, I was with friends, laughing, having a good time exploring. Now, I'm not a paranormal person. I'm very rational and only choose to put my trust in things that can be explained by facts but... this was a totally new experience. I have been to plenty other abandoned place before, but this... was different. Throughout the experience (about 2 hours, that place is huge!) I was aware of a strange feeling in my chest... right above my stomach, kind of like a nervousness that wouldnt go away. I kept thinking of something to explain it but i couldnt think of anything besides... well, something I couldnt explain. After exploring the top 3 floors, we came to a section on the first floor. There was a single flickering light down a long hallway. The power, water, etc. had been shut off to the rest of the building, but this area is on a seperate circuit because it is where the alarm mechanism is and also the "cells"... a bank of 10 rooms with prison-style doors protecting padded rooms that automatically slam and lock when the power goes out. This wing was incredibly eerie... probably because of the lighting and the thoughts of what could have gone on there, but i definately still had that feeling. After that, we moved into the basement. Some more creepy stuff, and then a single door. What was different about this one was it wasnt boarded up like the ones on the outside, with just wood. It was fairly easy to get in from the outside. No, this door had a layer of wood screwed into a layer of sheetmetal screwed into a metal doorframe surrounded by the concrete wall, all with security-tipped screws. Whatever was in this room, somebody didnt want us to go in there. Some of my friends say its a morgue because the facility was a regular hospital before it was the behavior health facility but... i dont knwo for sure. it makes sense. Whatever it was, it was somewhere where people did not want you to go, more than the building itself. Looking at some news articles today (i was young when the shooting happened), he killed one person in there... Laura Wilcox, just an intern. And he shot her in that building.
Anyway, that was yesterday that I went there. Today... throughout the whole day... ive still had that feeling above my stomach. I just feel... weird. I dont know how to describe it. All things aside, cool place to visit, theres some cool stuff there. Check it out if you have time sometime (: Ive lived here since i was born and never knew about the place. |

Reply with quote | #8 | me and a handful of friends went there last night and had a interesting time after finally finding a way in, to one of us cutting there hand unlocking a door. the fire alarms are dieing so they beep all the time here and there.. as we looked around, I killed every circuit breaker I could find just in case we set off an alarm or something, the power is still on to the place which bothers me... i don't know why they would leave it on... We found med docs and blue prints... nothing that great, unfortunately we ended up tripping or setting off something.. this constant "beep...beep...beep...beep..." that was not that loud and the alarm PNL looked like it was off but we booked it after that just in case it called out. It could of been a UPS from killing power but there was motion detectors that where still active after doing so. Ill be going back solo next month to explorer every level once more and go to the south wing that seems to be locked up very very well.. I don't know why its so heavily locked down, but I will find out and share with you guys here.
Add me on MSN Instant messenger if you would like to talk to me about it.

Reply with quote | #9 | I've taken my second tour through the place. we took a k2 meter with. found some interesting readings down in the basement (morgue). while we were down there we thought we could here footsteps up on third floor. there is a ramp from basement all the way to third floor (no elevator). we spent hours there. never felt like we set any alarms off. the fire alarms are dying and annoying. creepy place though. not sure how secure this site is to post all the pics i took of inside. pretty sure the county still makes use of this place for storage...hence, the power still being in use. i tried getting permission to explore through the county but was denied. they are trying to sell to a contractor to flatten and make some condos out of it. locals want to keep the place as is seeing how a lot of locals were born there. originally a hospital. __________________ bsb |
